Privacy at Easy Source

What we collect

When you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account identifier, name, email address, and email verification information. We use these to identify your account and keep your requests private. We do not request access to your Gmail inbox or Google Drive.

We store what you give us: chat messages, part descriptions and specifications, drawings, CAD files and photos, delivery details including the phone number you give for your order, your answer to the export control question, and the prices, orders and payments on your requests. Our hosting and service providers process technical information such as request logs and errors to operate the service.

How we use it

We use your information to run your account, understand and price your parts, make and deliver your orders, keep you updated, prevent fraud, and troubleshoot the service. We use your phone number to arrange delivery and to call you about your quote or order; we share it only as needed to deliver your parts, and we don't send marketing texts. Authorized Easy Source operators can review your requests and conversations to do this work.

Your messages and relevant file content are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, so the assistant can understand your part and answer you. To make your parts, we share the specifications and files needed with the manufacturing partners who produce them, under confidentiality. A manufacturing partner may keep its own copy of what was sent to it. Only upload designs you are authorized to have made.

Payments

Card payments are processed by Stripe on its own secure page. We receive the payment's status, amount and your email address, never your full card number. Stripe handles your payment details under its own privacy policy.

Services that process information

We use Google for sign-in, Vercel for hosting and visitor statistics, Supabase for our database and file storage, Anthropic for AI processing, Stripe for payments, Resend for the emails we send you, AgentMail for email with our manufacturing partners, and PostHog for product analytics. Each processes only the information it needs to do its job.

Cookies and browser storage

We use cookies to keep you signed in and to secure sign-in. Your session stays active while you use the site and ends after 30 days without a visit, or when you sign out. If you start a request before signing in, its text and files are kept in your browser so you can continue after Google sign-in; that draft expires after one hour and is removed once your request is created.

To see how the site is used and fix what gets in the way, we measure visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which sets no cookies, and with PostHog, which stores an identifier in a cookie and in your browser's storage. PostHog records the pages you view, what you click, the steps you take toward a quote or an order, errors, and a replay of your visit with form inputs masked. Once you sign in, these are linked to your account.

Retention and your choices

We keep your account, requests and order history so your workspace stays available, and we keep order and payment records as long as we need them for accounting, tax and legal obligations. There is currently no automatic deletion schedule. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your information by emailing scacchione2008@gmail.com. We may need to verify that you own the account before making changes.

Deleting information from Easy Source can't recall files already sent to a manufacturing partner for an order. Some copies may remain in provider backups or in records we must keep; we'll explain any limits when we handle your request.
